Buddy Revival FAQ
What is Buddy Revival?
Buddy Revival is a free, browser-based revival of the BuddyPoke character experience. It brings back the familiar 3D buddies, outfit customization, expressive moods, and two-character interactions. You can play online and save favorite animations as GIFs or videos.
Can I play Buddy Revival online for free?
Yes. Buddy Revival is free to use in your browser. You can customize your buddy, try all available moods and friend interactions, and export GIF or MP4 files without an account, subscription, or credits.
Does Buddy Revival need Flash or a download?
No Flash plugin or app installation is required. Open Buddy Revival in a modern browser and wait for the character resources to load. The original BuddyPoke models and animations are rendered directly in the browser.
How do I customize my character in Buddy Revival?
Open Wardrobe and select You or Friend. Use Face & hair, Clothing, or Extras to find an option, then click a style or color tile to see its choices. Your buddy updates in the preview. Drag the character to rotate the view, or select Surprise me for a new starting look. Select Download PNG to save the displayed character as an image.
Can Buddy Revival load a saved BuddyPoke look code?
Buddy Revival uses the original BuddyPoke look-code format. Open Your buddy code below the preview, paste a compatible saved code, and select Apply. Supported appearance choices are restored over the default look. A look code restores character styling; it does not restore an old social-network account.
How do I save Buddy Revival animations as GIFs or videos?
Choose a mood in Moods or a paired interaction in Friends, then select Save animation. Pick GIF or MP4 and a portrait, square, or landscape layout. You can add names and a caption before creating the file. MP4 requires H.264 encoding support in your browser; choose GIF when video encoding is unavailable.
How do friend interactions work in Buddy Revival?
Choose Friend in Wardrobe to customize the second buddy, then open Friends to play one of 28 paired animations, including hugs, high fives, and celebrations. Both characters appear together in the preview and exported clip. These are local character interactions, not a restored online friend network.
Does Buddy Revival save my character online?
Your looks and optional names are saved locally in this browser when local storage is available. Buddy Revival does not upload a photograph or synchronize your character to an account. Copy important buddy codes before clearing browser storage or moving to another device.
Can I play Buddy Revival on my phone?
Yes. The Buddy Revival interface adapts to phone and tablet screens and supports touch controls. Export speed and MP4 availability depend on your browser and device. GIF is an alternative when MP4 encoding is not supported, and compatible devices can share exported files through the system share sheet.
Is Buddy Revival the original BuddyPoke app?
Buddy Revival is an independent preservation project using the original character resources, not a restored version of the original social service. It does not recover Orkut, MySpace, or hi5 accounts, friend lists, or messages. The original BuddyPoke artwork, character data, animations, and texts belong to Buddy Labs.
